Clear answers before you decide to join

Frequently asked questions about Psikoaktifpartner Finance Academy.

Leaders usually join the academy with precise responsibilities and limited time. This page gathers the questions we hear most often from founders, CEOs and senior managers before they commit to the program.

If your question is not covered here, you can always reach out directly. A short written explanation of your situation often works better than a long questionnaire.

Short answer

The academy is an educational program, not a consulting engagement or investment service. You will learn to read your own financial reality more clearly and design better decisions, but all decisions remain yours.

Leaders discussing financial questions

Who usually joins?

Most participants are founders, owners, CEOs or senior managers with direct responsibility for a P&L. Some lead business units inside larger organisations and want a stronger financial voice at the table.

What is the working language?

The program runs in English. Examples and case material are drawn mainly from Italian and European businesses, so local realities are reflected even when the language is international.

How much time is required?

Most leaders allocate 2–3 hours per week: 90 minutes for the live lab, plus time for a short worksheet and at least one focused conversation in their own organisation.

Program basics

Is this a technical accounting course?
No. The academy assumes that your accounting is handled by professionals or internal teams. The focus is on how you, as a leader, read the numbers, see patterns over time and make decisions with confidence. You do not need to become an accountant to benefit.
How are the sessions structured?
Each session combines a short input from the facilitator, practical exercises using simplified case material and time to connect the theme to your own business. You will be working, not just listening. There is space for questions, but the structure keeps the group moving forward together.
What level of financial knowledge do I need?
You should be comfortable with basic business language and familiar with the idea of profit and cash, even if you do not yet read full financial statements. If you have never looked at a P&L or balance sheet before, an introductory conversation will help us see if this is the right starting point.
Are sessions online or in person?
All standard cohorts and executive circles are delivered online, usually via widely used video conferencing platforms. Leadership team formats can include in-person modules in Italy by separate agreement.

How the academy fits with your existing advisors

The academy is designed to complement, not replace, your accountants, controllers, lawyers or external advisors. You learn to ask clearer questions, interpret their input with more nuance and prepare better for key conversations.

The program does not provide personalised tax, accounting, legal or investment advice. Any decisions you make should always be discussed with qualified professionals.

If you are unsure whether your current level of financial knowledge is sufficient, share a short description in your message and we will respond honestly about fit and timing.

Commitment, time zones and missed sessions

What if I cannot attend one of the labs?
Sessions are recorded and made available for a limited time, so you can review the content of a missed lab. We still encourage you to treat the live sessions as a priority commitment, because the discussion and peer learning cannot be fully reproduced in a recording.
Which time zones do you serve?
Cohorts are planned around Central European Time, with schedules that work for leaders based in Italy and other European countries. In some cases we can accommodate participants connecting from neighbouring time zones, as long as the group rhythm remains sustainable.
How much work is there between sessions?
Worksheets are designed to take 30–45 minutes per week and can be completed using simplified versions of your own numbers. The more openly you engage with them, the more value you will receive, but they are not exams and are not graded.
Will my participation be visible outside the cohort?
No public list of participants is published. If both you and your organisation wish to share your experience more broadly, this is discussed separately and handled with explicit consent.

A realistic commitment for busy leaders

The program is demanding in the sense that it asks you to think deeply about your business and decisions. It is designed, however, to fit alongside an intense leadership schedule without taking over your week.

Data, confidentiality and privacy

Working with financial questions means working with sensitive topics. We treat that responsibility seriously and keep the program intentionally small and respectful.

Do I have to share my full financial statements?
No. Many exercises can be done using simplified or anonymised numbers that still reflect the logic of your business. You choose how much detail you share in group discussions, and we actively encourage you to protect confidential information.
How is my personal data used?
We use your contact details to communicate about the program, send materials and organise conversations. Full details are described in the Privacy Policy of this website. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Are sessions recorded and who can see them?
Live sessions may be recorded for the benefit of the cohort. Access is limited to participants and facilitators and is time-limited. Recordings are not used for marketing unless a separate agreement is made with specific individuals.
Is this investment or legal advice?
No. The academy provides education and frameworks for thinking. It does not provide personalised recommendations on investments, taxation, accounting or law. You should always consult qualified professionals before making decisions that may affect your business or personal finances.

A shared commitment to confidentiality

At the beginning of each cohort we ask participants to commit to treating all real examples, numbers and stories shared in the group as confidential. This creates a safer space for honest reflection and learning.

Confidentiality has practical limits in an online environment, but respecting each other’s trust is a core part of how the academy operates.

You can withdraw from marketing communications at any time. Operational messages related to your participation in the program may still be necessary while you are enrolled.

Still unsure whether this is the right program?

Many leaders read this FAQ and still have a simple, personal question: “Given my role and current situation, does this make sense for me now?” That question is often easier to explore in a short, focused exchange than on a long web page.

  • You might be between major decisions and want to prepare for the next cycle.
  • You might be facing a concrete choice around growth, financing or ownership.
  • You might simply want to stop feeling that you are “guessing” when looking at numbers.

Reaching out does not commit you to join. It opens a conversation about fit, timing and alternatives.
